TELL ME THAT SCHOOL ISN’T HARD
I KNOW YOU’RE GROWN UP
I KNOW YOU ARE MY PARENT
I KNOW YOU’VE ALREADY BEEN THROUGH THIS PART OF LIFE
BUT SCHOOL HAS GOTTEN HARDER
AND TEACHERS ARE UNFAIR TO ME AND ASSIGN TOO MUCH
AND THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN I AM TIRED
I CANNOT DO WORK
I CANNOT SUCCEED ON A TEST
I CANNOT FUNCTION
This needs to be more known to parents
So the week is off to a good start.
And by “good” I mean I got my chem test back, which was shocking in a bad way and I stayed after class for two hours to review it. The AP test is looming and I feel more stupid by the minute.
Tomorrow I’ll get in a good workout, and that’s what I’m looking forward to right now. One step at a time.
And I have to keep reminding myself that one bad grade isn’t going to ruin my life. But more importantly, I need to push aside the stupid little things that sadden me and focus on the positive.
